Start 2D.Step up to 3D.
Depth and slope against a laser, benchmark or known point — no design files, no GNSS. It's the same TX73 hardware as full 3D, running the 2D software tier. When your jobs start handing you models, step up — hire the 3D tier or unlock it outright.
Depth and slope, on screen
The 2D tier tells the operator exactly where the bucket sits against a reference — level, fall or dual fall — and updates with every move of the boom.
Depth on the edge
Live readout of how deep the bucket cutting edge is against your target level — hold a floor without leaving the cab.
Single or dual grade
Hold a constant 1% fall, or dual fall — 1% along the trench and 2% across — with the slope on screen, not on guesswork.
IMUs on every joint
Sensors on the boom, stick and bucket keep the display live as he moves the boom — no waiting on a checker.
Laser or benchmark height
Height comes from a rotating laser, a benchmark or a known point — the way the crew already works, not from a site model.
Tilt-bucket ready
Runs a tilt bucket when the tilt sensor and licence are fitted — one machine, more shapes off the same bench.
No checker in the hole
Trenches, pads and batters move faster with the crew out of the excavation all day.
Where 2D stops.
A 2D system references a level — it doesn't follow a 3D design file or a GNSS surface. In plain terms:
No 3D design surface
Roads and pads with contours, complex cut/fill maps — those live in the 3D tier.
No GNSS positioning
The machine doesn't know where it is on the job model — height is referenced, not positioned.
No surface following
It won't automatically follow a tin/surface file — that's full 3D.
No 3D as-built
Sign-off against a 3D file needs GNSS — add it later with the upgrade.
Need any of those? That's the — the same machine, unlocked when you're ready.
Built for this work.
If it's level, fall or depth against a reference, the 2D tier pays for itself in the first week.
Drains with a set fall
Footings & pads to level
Batters to a %
Ponds & simple digs to depth
Sites already on a laser
Hardware is the full TX73 — see the full specification breakdown.
Upgrade any time.
Full 3D is a software tier on the same TX73 — no new hardware, no re-install, no second display bolted to the cab.
Short-term hire
Hire the jump
Unlock full 3D for the length of one job — cut the model, hand it back. Ideal for one-off model work or the tender that demands 3D.
Outright upgrade
Own it outright
Unlock the 3D tier for the life of the machine. One licence, your hardware, every update going forward.
The TX73 on your machine already is a 3D system — the 2D tier is just software.
Request a 2D demo
We'll bring the 2D tier to your site, set a benchmark and let the machine prove the fall.
